Internship Medical Technology (m/f/d)

We are imk Health Intelligence,

a medium-sized company in the middle of the countryside on the outskirts of Chemnitz.

We combine the expertise and practical experience of experts in medical technology, in-vitro diagnostics and medical robotics systems, as well as in the design of gear technology. We support our customers from a wide range of industries in developing products, planning their production and also providing manufacturing services.

Become a part of our team now! We are looking forward to you!

Topics that your heart beats for

Literature research:

  • Analysis of existing scientific literature and manufacturer documentation on pipetting systems and replacement fluids for patient samples
  • Identification of parameters that influence accuracy and reproducibility (e.g. pipetting speed, system pressures, switching times, etc.).

Systematic experimental design:

  • Development of an experimental plan (e.g. Design of Experiments, DoE) to systematically analyse the identified parameters.
  • Selection of suitable measured variables and analysis methods (e.g. pipetting accuracy in %CV, error analysis).

Experimental realisation:

  • Parameterisation and testing of the pipetting system Examination of influencing factors such as temperature, volume range and pipetting mode.

Evaluation and optimisation:

  • Analysis of the test results and identification of parameterisations that deliver the best results.
  • Creation of a model to predict pipetting performance under certain conditions.

Your task

Fully automated laboratory systems for analysing patient samples include automatically controlled pipetting systems. The accuracy and reproducibility of pipetting results depend heavily on the specific parameter settings of the system. Factors such as speed, volume, temperature, viscosity of the liquid and the pipetting mode play a decisive role. The aim of your work is to systematically analyse the influencing factors and develop an optimal parameterisation to ensure reproducible and accurate pipetting results.

Here's how it goes - application process:

As a rule, you will receive within the next 10 days a feedback. If we like your application, you will then be invited to meet us in person at Amselgrund. We look forward to receiving your application!
